"I have fought beside the Young Wolf in every battle...he has not lost one yet."

DACEY MORMONT.
Daughter of Lady Maege. Heir of Bear Island. Warrior.

Rather Water Than Arrows

ladybearheir replied to your post: Cousin. I see you’ve found yourself another to get you into trouble.

A Bear defending a Dragon. A strange choice, perhaps.

*glances over at you, eyes narrowing slightly*  She is the rightful heir to the Iron Throne.  We all owe her our allegiance.

If you say so, cousin. I’ve pledged for the King in the North.

*smiles* That is a shame, I’d have liked to meet you earlier. I am very curious about the parts of Westeros I have not met yet. What is bear island like?

It’s a lovely, remote place with tall, old trees and moss-covered rocks. There’s lots of little springs and hills, and a great hall made of earth and wood. Lots of she-bears around too.

*looks out the window resting her head on her hands* It must be very beautiful…I wish I could visit all of Westeros before leaving for Dorne, but I guess it’s too late for that now..

It is very beautiful. You’ve still got a long life ahead of you, so I’m sure you’ll get to visit all regions of Westeros.

*smiles* I hope so! It’d be a shame to spend a whole life without seeing the most I can. Tell me, are you happy that you’re getting to see many new places? How different do you find the south, when compared to the north?

I would prefer seeing new places under different circumstances, but I can still appreciate some of the beauty. I find the south to be quite warmer, but that’s to be expected.

*smiles sadly* Yes, I wonder if there is anyone who can be happy about what is going on.. It is much warmer, though I like it better this way. After all if it were too cold, we couldn’t have the beautiful flowers that we do *smiles*

The flowers are a nice addition to the warmth, though I do admit I miss the seclusion of my home.

jorahtheandal replied to your post: ….Hello Dacey… Are you well?

Qarth is quite nice… And a much-appreciated reprieve from the Red Waste… I must admit, the desert very nearly made me long for Bear Island.

I can’t imagine the desert being a nice place to live in for an extended period of time. And it’s certainly not Bear Island. But I’m sure Qarth is a nice place to be if one cannot return home.

A detour, one hopes, that will help in our war? Lady Stark thinks only of your father and his rebellion, I’m sure. Fathers and sons and whatnot. Though she’s still not fond of seeing me in armor with a sword in hand.

Not sure of that, it might help in the war. Lady Stark is not fond of a lot of things. It’s a pity, you’re alright with a sword, you haven’t died yet.

Lady Stark hasn’t a lot of things left to be fond of though. And if you were here, I’d show you just how “alright” I am with a sword.

Oh haven’t you heard? The King in the North things I’ve gone over to the dark side. Thinks I’ve gone against him. Don’t worry, the wind is in our favour. We’ll reach our destination soon.

If you’d be so kind to relay that to our dearest King.

I’ll be sure to tell him, Greyjoy. Perhaps he’ll reconsider your stance with him when you arrive.

I’ve taken a little detour though. Nothing he can really do about it. -shrugs and smirks- I don’t know how he ever got that notion in his head, I’ve done nothing to make him think I’ve turned against him. Just because his bloody mother thinks I’m untrustworthy. -rolls his eyes-

*laughs after a long moment in disbelief, anger flickering in her eyes* How dare you approach me with such petty insults after I have done nothing to you, Mormont, save greet you with respect. I see now it was clearly misplaced.

Still, I find it nonetheless amusing that you presume yourself wise enough to tell me which I do and do not deserve and for that, you are lucky. The wrath of the Dragon is legendary, Lady Mormont, as is the fury of the Dothraki. I am both now and you would be wise to watch your words.

Ah, I see it now. -chuckles-. My apologies, Lady Dragon. I only look out for my cousin’s welfare. One woman with flowing hair and a penchant for asking too much of him has already left him in exile, I didn’t want to see something worse happen. You would be good to wield an axe, I’m sure, and as such, you are far ahead of my cousin’s second wife.

....Hello Dacey... Are you well?

In armor and at arms, so of course I’m well. How’s…elsewhere?

Really? I’d say I’m having quite a bit of fun as well without you all. Pity, though.

Having fun reuniting with your family and all? The King in the North could use your ships, if you want to stop dawdling.

He is as a good a friend as I could ever hope for and the most loyal of counselors. I owe much to him and his House, my lady, and will see this gratitude…

*sets her jaw, her voice low with uncertainty* Ser Jorah is loyal to me because he knows the Throne is mine by right and that I will be the ruler the Seven Kingdoms so desperately need, friend. He does not follow and advise me because of the color of my hair.

No, of course not. Generally it’s the combination of the beauty and the hair color. Probably the aspiration for something bigger than she deserves.

He is as a good a friend as I could ever hope for and the most loyal of counselors. I owe much to him and his House, my lady, and will see this gratitude paid in full one day. Even in his exile, ser Jorah brings great honor to his House.

Jorah does have a tendency to be willing to sacrifice anything for a particular kind of woman, so I cannot say I am surprised to hear such things.

*blinks once, quiet for a moment before asking* I…I fear I do not understand you. A…a particular kind of woman?

A proper lady with hair like shiny metal. Tends to get him into trouble and the like.

Pleased to meet you lady Mormont, I don't believe we've met *smiles*

Greetings, young one. I don’t believe we have either. It’s not often I encounter a princess.
